Arrival at Vernazza

where the happy music came from by h2okatcher.

Now that’s what I call a view!

Nice cap:

Whenever I think of Vernazza, I can still hear the festive Mediterranean music that greeted us when we caught this glimpse of Vernazza from our hiking path in the mountain above! It’s such a happy happy feeling!

The wiki entry for Vernazza is suitably modest:

Vernazza is a town and commune located in the province of La Spezia, Liguria, northwestern Italy. It is one of the five towns in Italy’s Cinque Terre region.

Vernazza is the fourth town heading north into the Cinque Terre. It has no car traffic (a road leads into a parking lot on the edge of the town) and remains one of the truest “fishing villages” on the Italian Riviera.

Wiki travel has a more comrehensive entry. Looks like somewhere to visit. I love the fact that cars have to be left on the outskirts of town too!
