Today’s tag search was ‘flood’. The UK is in the midst of what must be the wettest summer since records began. As a result of the last downpour, 150,000 people are without water and 500,000 risk losing power. We’re close to a state of national emergency and yet more wet weather is on its way. So much for hose pipe bans.

As well as the fairly standard flood images from the last few days, such as this one of the historic town of Tewkesbury in Gloucestershire, I also found a series of a couple jiving their way through the rising waters.
