Afar girl - Ethiopia, originally uploaded by Eric Lafforgue.
I found the cap interesting from an anthropologicial pov:
A young Afar girl, not yet married, cos you can see her hair. Later (but not too much), she’ll marry her cousin. As many young girl, she may be infibulated…So the wedding night will start with a knife… That’s the way Afars still do.

whistles and snakes, originally uploaded by Tatiana Cardeal.
A Tanzanian tribal sorcerer and his assistant, starting a traditional dance around the Moi International Sports Complex, the venue for the VII World Social Forum. There were dancers and drummers coming and playing many whistles . I can still hear their sound.

Night in Ipanema, originally uploaded by mistca.
This is what I saw from the top of my Hotel, Sol Ipanema, every night… when it was not raining. A very romantic view. On the rooftop they had a very small bar. So at night I would sit there looking at the majestic sunsets, sip caipirinha maracuja (not caipivodka!) and listen to soft sounds of Bosa Nova… That is a perfect way to end another great beach day in Rio!
